Two Lanark County residents received high honours at last week’s council meeting.
Awards of Excellence were presented to Matthew Mould of Mississippi Mills and Sue Doran of Perth.
Mould received his in the categories of Business/Agriculture/Industry/Tourism as the founder and president of Sports Systems Canada.
Beginning in his parents Pakenham basement in 1998, Mould’s since grown the company which designs and installs different sports systems internationally.
Doran received her Award of Excellence in the categories of Volunteerism/Community Service/Youth as the lead behind the Veterans banners hanging in Perth, which honour local veterans from area townships. Banners hang proudly throughout the town of Perth each November.
Lanark County warden Peter McLaren presented the duo with their awards and thanked them for bettering their communities.
