An investigation is underway into an explosion that injured 12 people in an east Ottawa suburb yesterday.
Six people had to be taken to hospital after the blast at a housing development — two of them suffered serious injuries but all were in stable condition.
Ottawa police said they were working with Ontario’s Ministry of Labour and the Ontario Office of the Fire Marshal to analyze what happened.
Firefighters said initially that a gas leak was the culprit but authorities say the cause is still under investigation
