Registration is now open for the 10th anniversary AGH Run/Walk for Women’s Health set for this summer.
For the first time the event’s been moved up from September to June 10th, and you can now start signing up and collecting donations to benefit the birthing unit at the Almonte General Hospital.
Managing Director at the AGH Fairview Manor Foundation Al Roberts thinks more people need to know that hospital’s receive no government funding for equipment, so they rely on the communities they serve to help out.
The AGH is the central birthing centre across the Ottawa Valley.
Roberts tells us it’s a happening spot.
Up for grabs this year are eight tickets to see Shania Twain at Bluesfest, an outdoor pizza oven, a home theatre and so much more.
The more you fundraise, the more entries you get to win.
The AGH Run/Walk routes include 3km, 5km, and 10km distances, with timing for competitive participants.
Runners and walker can participate virtually from June 2-4, 2023 .
The start and finish line will be behind the Hospital. Activities get underway at 8 a.m. and wrap up at noon.
Post and pre-event activities include breakfast, musical warm up and post event food, music and awards for best times and most funds raised individually and as a team.
