Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the region.
Additional snowfall of 2-4cm is expected to arrive today, complimenting the snowfall we saw overnight Wednesday into Thursday.
Heavy snow will taper off this morning. Snow may become mixed with freezing drizzle. Another round of snow, possibly mixed with ice pellets, will affect the area this afternoon and evening.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
