If you’re used to driving a heavy load, you’ll want to know that as of tomorrow there are reduced loads in effect across Lanark County on many county roads.
It’s a sign of spring. They reduce the loads on roads that could be damaged due to the spring thaw. The restrictions are lifted when the risk of damage to the roadways passes.
The restrictions apply only to the roads where it’s posted.
If you have more than 5 tonnes per axle, you could face charges under the Highway Traffic Act.
