Traffic lights finally coming to problematic Carleton Place intersection

Carleton Place residents will finally getting a set of traffic lights at a problem spot they’ve long raised noise about.

Ontario’s MTO announced this week that lights will be installed at the intersection of Highway 7 and Townline road, as the request met the justification to put up lights.

Drivers have considered it an area of concern for a long time, worrying about turning left while leaving or entering the town.

There’s currently no ETA on when the lights will be going up.
