It’ll see a 6.87% rate increase over last year, which equals out to about $56 in additional annual fees for the average home owner, which is assessed at $215,000.
That’s based off the 2016 provincial property assessment as an updated one was once again postponed by the province.
The 2023 budget features about $113.7 million in expenditures, $66.8 million of which in various capital projects.
In a media release, Warden Nancy Peckford said council tried to strike a balance between affordability and enabling investments in infrastructure and services.
