It’s tax season once more and a group of volunteers are offering to help you do yours for free once again through ConnectWell Community Health.
Volunteer Martina Flanagan says they help a large portion of Lanark County and bordering residents each year fill out their taxes over the phone and through virtual clinics.
Flanagan says on top of a vetting process which includes a police background check, they also receive training through the CRA.
You’re eligible for the free service if your individual income is less than $35,000 a year or $45,000 with a partner. Flanagan says there’s several tax benefits you could apply for but they all have deadlines so the sooner you file, the better your return could be.
