Construction for the new MRI suite at the Smiths Falls hospital site began last week.
President and CEO of Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Michael Cohen tells Lake 88 there will be a little bit of disruption from now until the room is expected to be complete in September, but they’re trying to minimalize it.
The hospital foundation’s efforts to raise the required $6 million is expected to take three years.
Cohen breaks down the funding in further detail.
Cohen says they intend to be seeing patients by October.
