After six years, funding has been committed by the Ministry of Long-Term Care to begin construction on a new project that will replace the current Providence Manor in Kingston.
Vice-President of Corporate Services and Executive Director at Hospice Kingston Krista Wells-Pearce, discussed the reason for the construction delay of the facility, which will be located within Providence Village.
The new building will feature a 320 bed home with a green space nestled in a community-like setting and a multi-faceted services hub.
Wells Pearce said they’re hoping to open their doors to current and new residents in late 2026.
