United Counties of Leeds and Grenville Warden Nancy Peckford has weighed in on the Andrewsville Bridge conversation.
Peckford says whatever they decide, it needs to make financial sense.
She says they’re still in the early stages of conversation.
In February, Lanark County staff recommended converting the bridge to pedestrian-only, but public consultation has uncovered the majority of taxpayers also want vehicle access.
Peckford says there’s a lot of attachment to the bridge and they need to determine what’s fiscally viable.
