It is yet another sign that spring is upon us: Reduced load restrictions are now in effect on certain Lanark County roads.
Basically, certain roads are too fost for big heavy trucks. If they use the roads they could cause some costly damage.
The county has posted a map on their website to let you know where the heavy vehicles can drive.
Driving on the roads with a load of five tonnes or more per axel is an offense under the highway traffic act and could result in steep fines.
