Planet Youth Lanark made a presentation of its survey findings surrounding substance use to Smiths Falls council last week.
The survey issued voluntarily last year was filled out by 70% of Lanark County youth.
Planet Youth’s Andrew Lynch says their approach can be easily summed up.
Councilor Peter McKenna wants the town to encourage Planet Youth’s endeavors anyway they can.
Locally, 29% of youth tried alcohol aged 13 or younger, while 40% smoked e-cigarettes and 23% cannabis. You can see the full findings here.
