April is Oral Health Month, and this year’s theme is Oral Health in Public Health.
The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is doing its part to spread the word about the importance of oral and dental health, by letting us know about programs for people without dental coverage.
Dr. Linna Li highlighted the Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program.
Li says teeth and oral health are very important when it comes to mental health, self-perception, and making sure we’re getting the food we need.
For younger patients, there’s the Healthy Smiles Program that can help.
They can provide information on both at 1-800-660-5853 or healthunit.org.
