New education legislation unveiled by the province Monday covers a number of bases, including a revamping of how school board operate.
The Better Schools and Student Outcomes Act has been implemented to create consistency and transparency across Ontario’s 72 school boards, according to Education Minister Stephen Lecce, who says its all about improving the school system, province-wide.
The minister also say it was created to provide consistency and transparency across the provincial school boards.
Lecce says this would allow the government to ensure Ministry Priorities, when it comes to student achievement, are actually a measuring tool.
He says his board improvement plan ensures one system is implemented to maintain a system-wide standard.
