The Rideau Environmental Action League, or REAL, are once again taking part in the Canada-wide Pitch In cleanup this year.
Individuals and groups are encouraged to go out to the areas they feel need the most work to clear up the litter they see.
REAL volunteer Barb Hicks says the campaign wraps up with a shoreline clean up in Smiths Falls.
Hicks says they generally see a steady draw of volunteers.
