More than 120 people turned out for the Perth chapter of the Canadian Federation of University Women’s special presentation on Electric Vehicles.
They hosted a panel discussion at the Legion where local EV owners spoke of their experiences leaving combustion engines behind.
Keynote speaker Mitchell House of the city of Ottawa’s Climate Change and Resiliency Unit, spoke of the cost savings.
Tay Valley Reeve Rob Rainer, who is an EV owner and served as a panelist spoke of how quickly he took to his family’s 2019 model EV and its performance and driveability during its first test-drive.
