It’s Fundraiser Day on Lake 88 as we continue to highlight groups raising money for causes they’re passionate about.
Mary Pressley Vyas is the co-founder and president of PSC Partners Seeking a Cure Canada, an all-volunteer organization hoping to raise funds and awareness about Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, or PSC.
PSC awareness around the community has never been higher in 2023, when the hockey world rallied around Smiths Falls man Chris Craig and his family as they waited for a donor. Craig recently lost his battle to PSC.
Vyas says their goal is ensuring the few that live with PSC don’t feel alone and with that, funding comes.
