Smiths Falls council had nothing but praise and appreciation to show for the first responders who attended the fire at the old water treatment plant on Monday.
Councillor John Brennan shared his thoughts.

The heritage building went ablaze in the early morning hours and had fire services from Smiths Falls, Perth, Montague and Drummond/North Elmsley responding.
Fire Chief Rick Chesebrough says an in-depth report regarding damage and insurance claims is in the works.
