During the Carleton Place council meeting held on Tuesday night, the final approval was granted to provide much-needed assistance to residents who are still in the process of cleaning up debris from last month’s ice storm.
To accommodate the ongoing cleanup efforts, the Carleton Place Compost Yard will extend its Saturday operating hours on a trial basis from May to October of this year. Previously, the season would have ended during this period, but the new hours will now be from 8 am to 3 pm on Saturdays. Additionally, the compost yard, conveniently located behind the curling club, will continue to operate on Wednesdays from 3 pm to 8 pm.
These extended hours aim to support residents as they continue their cleanup and disposal efforts.
