A Smiths Falls teenager is facing charges following a domestic abuse investigation.
Police say just after 11 am last Monday they responded to a residence on Russell Street West, and claim a 16-year-old male assaulted his female partner on several occasions while causing damage to her personal property, used a weapon, and injured an animal in their care.
The suspect breached his probation release order conditions in the process, which stemmed from two previous incidents against the same partner.
The male’s since been charged with two counts of spousal assault, mischief to property, cruelty to animals and the release order breaches.
