Fairview Manor received additional funding for specialized bariatric equipment and supplies, as well as IV infusion pumps.
The near $90,000 influx from the Ontario government is through the Local Priorities Fund in an aim to reduce emergency department visits and hospital admissions for those who require special care in long-term care homes.
Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston MPP John Jordan was among the dignitaries at Fairvew Manor Tuesday for the announcement.
In a media release, Jordan said the government is “taking action to ensure Ontario’s seniors get the right care in the right place.”
