If you’re heading to your cottage or campground this weekend, or just rolling into town for the weekend and are wondering if you can have a campfire, we’ve got mixed results to share with you.
Fire bans across our listening area are being lifted in some municipalities, but not all of them.
The town of Perth has lifted theirs, as has Drummond/North Elmsley and Tay Valley Township.
But Carleton Place, Lanark Highlands, Rideau Lakes, and Beckwith stil have bans in place. So you have to stick to liquid fueled fires this weekend.
If you’re in a town that is allowing fires, check with town hall before you flick your lighter to make sure you have all the necessary permits.
