Mayor turned author turned newspaper owner: John Fenik purchases Review-Mirror

It became official last week, John Fenik, former mayor of Perth and author can add another title to the list: owner-publisher.

Fenik has purchased the Review-Mirror newspaper in Westport from longtime owner Howard Creighton.

Fenik says he’s looking forward to the venture.

He hopes to keep the tradition of close ties with the community alive and well, reporting local stories that matter to his readers.

The paper has been published since 1893. Among the others to own the paper, former Federal Senator and MPP Bob Runciman.
