An off-leash dog park is coming to Perth.
After hours of debate, tension between councillors and the public, and points made for and against a park, a vote was called and a motion passed.
Council accepted staff’s recommendation to use a portion of the town-owned Darou Farm on Rideau Ferry Road in the south end this week.
Details surrounding pricing, fencing, and how the costs will be split were not discussed at the meeting, those will likely be ironed out later.
Council said on multiple occasions previously that the advocates for such park will be responsible to fit part of the bill.
