Rideau Ferry bridge construction complete, fully reopened to public

The bridge before construction began

After a lengthy stretch of construction, the Rideau Ferry Bridge is once again open to both lanes of traffic.

Work began on the bridge in April 2022, reducing it to one-lane while the work was conducted.

The completion date was delayed due to material and labour shortages, causing the remainder of the work to be postponed until this spring.

It’s now all finished and opened to motorists last Friday.
