The Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Foundation has appealed to the Council, stressing the urgency of financial support to fulfill their commitment to the construction of a new emergency department.
In response, the town’s committee has granted approval for nearly $340,000 in supplementary funds, contributing towards the $5 million project.
While the provincial government is covering approximately 90% of the total expenses, the town bears the responsibility of providing funds for the necessary equipment.
