Beat the heat in Lanark, Carleton Place with cooling centres open Wednesday and Thursday

Escape the heat today with a pair of local cooling centres.

ConnectWell Community Health is operating one in Lanark Village and Carleton Place both today (July 5) and tomorrow (July 6).

You’re invited to bring a book, cards, a friend, or a board game while enjoying the air-conditioned community rooms.

The Lanark site located at 207 Robertson Drive is open from 8:30 until 6:30 today and tomorrow.

The cooling centre at 30 Bennet Street in Carleton Place runs from 8:30 until 4 today and tomorrow.
