Laurie Scott from Kingston is celebrating a life-changing win after hitting the Lotto Max top prize in the June 9 draw. She’s now $22 million richer.
Laurie, a retired academic librarian, signed up for a Lotto Max subscription with OLG to ensure she never missed a draw. Surprisingly, her winning ticket was a Quick Pick, purchased automatically while she was on vacation.
During her travels, Laurie received an email from OLG, but since she was outside of Ontario, she couldn’t log into her account for more information.
Upon checking her account at home, the shock set in again as Laurie realized the incredible amount she had won.
With her newfound fortune, Laurie plans to make some home renovations, indulge in some travel, and to support charities close to her heart.
