A stepfather has been arrested and charged after allegedly assaulting his stepdaughter with a weapon.
Smiths Falls police say the 15-year-old called police on July 21st and reported being assaulted and assaulted with a weapon by her stepfather, who was located and arrested without incident.
They were held for a bail hearing and the 36-year-old will not be identified to protect the victim.
