The Gananoque Lions Club’s thoughtful gift of a specialized water ramp has made Big Rideau Lake more accessible to summer campers at Camp Merrywood.
The Camp, established in 1948 on the Big Rideau between Smiths Falls and Perth, offers vital physical and emotional benefits, fostering social skills, independence, self-esteem, and confidence.
For children with physical disabilities, the camp experience is crucial for their growth, enabling them to explore their abilities, try new things, and make friends. All that and more is much easier thanks to the Lion’s gift.
