The Mississippi Mills All My Relations group is presenting “Landscape through Indigenous eyes” on Saturday August 5th in the Social Hall of the Almonte United Church.
Sue Evans is coordinator of the All My Relations chapter in the community.
Her organization is sponsoring the Seven Gifts Art installation in Riverfront Park. Stone sculptor Deborah Arnold has crafted the seven marble pillars, while carver Nish Nabie is making the representational totems.
What’s missing is the matching vegetation.
Landscape workshop presenters are Chris Craig, Senior Forestry Technician at South Nation Conservation Authority and Sarah Craig, Inidigenous Landscaper; they come with plenty of credentials.
