Police in Leeds County, now consider their investigation into a suspicious death a homicide. The deceased has been identified as Giles Dagenais, a 66-year-old resident of Elizabethtown-Kitley Township.
it happened on July 31st around 7:00 a.m. Police were alerted about a house where they discovered the victim.
The police believe there is no immediate danger to the public, but a presence will be maintained in the Toledo area as they continue their investigation.
The case is being handled by the Leeds County Detachment Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services, with the oversight of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, along with the involvement of the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
