Construction nearing 30% completion for Athens long-term-care home

The G. Tackaberry and Family Home in Athens is about 30% complete.

The forthcoming 192-bed long-term care facility has recently hit some milestones and remains on schedule to open its doors in 2025.

The plumbing infrastructure has been finalized, and the two stairwell blockworks are complete with the third nearing completion. The elevator shaft is also almost built.

The home’s being built on the campus of Maple View Lodge and recently got its name following a $400,000 donation by the Tackaberry family.
