It’s Hooray for Coaches Day here on Lake 88. This hour, we’re highlighting Bill Ferrier with the Perth Curling Club.
A coach for 20 years and youth coordinator for 10, Ferrier says what he loves most about being involved around the game is the lessons they share about not just being good curlers, but good people.
Ferrier took to curling after his son Trevor showed interest at a young age. He decided to learn about the game alongside his son and each took to it quickly.
Ferrier’s advice for someone interested in getting involved in the sport or becoming a coach is simple: Enjoy the game, the rest will follow.
