Mississippi Mills is hoping you can help break their mayor and three Councillors out of jail.
They municipality is holding their bail-out fundraiser in partnership with the OPP.
As Mayor Christa Lowry, who has been charged with over the limit caffeine consumption, tells us it’s to help fill the shelves at the Lanark County Food Bank – The Hunger Stop.
In addition to the Mayor, the OPP has ‘charged’ the following council members:
- Councillor Bev Holmes for always overscheduling herself
- Councillor Vicki Lowe for being an underaged grandma
- Councillor Jane Torrance for playing her bagpipes
You have until today to help out. You can drop off food donations to the Mississippi Mills Municipal Office or the Library branches in Pakenham or Almonte until Thursday.
