The holiday means that we’re looking at some closures around the region as people take in the last long-weekend of the summer.
Government offices are shut down across the board. That means no town hall, provincial or federal business until next Tuesday.
Most Beer Stores are open from 11 to 6, while LCBOs remain closed. Of note, after September 5th, many convenience stores will be carrying alcohol, meaning it will be easier to get during the next long-weekend, Thanksgiving. Agency locations like Rideau Ferry and Innisville on Highway 7 between Perth and Carleton Place are open.
Many grocery stores are open on reduced hours. Take note of the hours posted on the doors if you’re out and about.
Libraries and municipal childcare centres are closed on Holiday Monday.
