You may be wondering what all those cyclists were doing in Perth on Friday.
It was a special ride called the Journey of Remembrance and Unity. A three day, 575-kilometre bike ride featuring firefighters from southern and eastern Ontario, Quebec and Newfoundland, remembering colleagues lost in the line of duty.
Ride Coordinator David Cossitt says spirits were high as they hit a personal record.
The Perth Fire Station welcomed the riders for a much-needed break before they carried on to the National Firefighter’s Memorial in Ottawa.
