Grant is learning to cook and he’s taking us along for the ride! He’s tired of eating frozen dinners and pre-packaged meals, so he’s picking some of his favourites and diving in.
For his first attempt, he’s making his Mom’s Famous Macaroni and Cheese. To say it was a success is an understatement. Bob, Adam and Grant didn’t leave a trace behind when they were done with.
We’ll also be posting the recipe each week. We’ve gotten some calls already looking for it, so without further ado, here it is. Tune in next Friday after 7am for Chicken Parm!
Grant’s Macaroni and Cheese
2 cups of elbow macaroni
3 tbsp of butter, flour
2 cups of milk
1/2 tsp salt, pepper
2 cups shredded medium-white cheese
1) Cook macaroni
2) Melt butter, blend in flour, add milk – cook and stir until thick, add seasonings
3) Add 1 1/2 cups of cheese – stir until melted
4) Place macaroni in greased dish
5) Pour sauce over macaroni and mix until combined in greased 8×11 dish. Top with remaining cheese
6) Cook at 350 degrees uncovered for 30 minutes until bubbly and slightly brown in colour. Let sit five minutes before cutting.
*Optional – top with bread crumbs before baking for a nice crisp crust!

Nice, basic recipe that sounds absolutely delicious!
