Getting your children involved in the kitchen’s a good way to introduce them to cooking and spend more time with them.
But you have to do it in a safe manner both for you and them.
Drummond/North Elmsley Deputy Fire Chief Darren Gibson says it’s a good idea to create a bit of a safe zone during the more dangerous parts of the cooking process.
Another good tip Gibson offered was turning the pot handles in, so your child doesn’t hit one and knock the hot pot on you, themselves, or another surface.
