On this week’s Grant Can Cook, Grant tackled homemade hamburgers using his father’s recipe. They turned out great!
Here’s what you need:
- 2 pieces of white sandwich bread, and cut them into 1/4 slices, throw them into a large mixing bowl.
- 1/3 cup of milk
- 2 1/2 teaspoons of kosher salt
- 2 teaspons of freshly ground black pepper
- 4 minced garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons of ketchup
- 2 pounds of 90% lean ground beef
- 8 Hamburger buns
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mash 2 pieces of white sandwich bread (cut into small pieces) and 1/3 cup milk together with a fork until it forms a chunky paste.
- Add kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, garlic cloves, Worcestershire sauce and ketchup. Stir well until combined
- Throw in your lean ground beef, mix until well combined
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape into balls. Flatten each ball into a 3/4-inch-thick patty
- Throw into the air fryer for 12 minutes. Not necessary to flip halfway through, you can if you want
Optional – for extra flavour for your hamburger buns, garlic paste works wonders. Throw those puppies in the air fryer for no more than 90 seconds and you’re laughing.
