R.K Porter General Contracting has been awarded the tender for the construction of the new Otter Lake Road fire station in Rideau Lakes.
Nine bids were received for the project but council agreed the Perth company’s tender application of about $1.9 million was the best.
Mayor Arie Hoogenboom said this is a win for everyone involved, including the taxpayer.
On top of that, the Perth-based company has a great reputation, says Manager of Facilities and Parks Malcom Norwood.
The relationship between R.K Porter and Amy Rancier will continue on this project as council tapped Altered Roots Architects for the project in January.
