There are charges now after an investigation into threats made against schools in Ontario that resulted in the Upper Canada District School Board and Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario locking down their schools back on November 1st. But the charges laid relate to another international case, and not that in Ontario.
The OPP says Belgian Police have arrested an individual in Morocco they believe was responsible for similar threats made against schools in Belgium earlier this week.
The OPP say their Criminal Investigation Branch has reason to believe that same person was responsible for the Ontario threats too. They are now working with Belgian Police, but cannot say if or when the individual would face charges here.
