Make a difference: Time is running out! Until the end of December (that’s Sunday!), all donations received for the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation’s MRI campaign will be matched up to a total of $100,000 dollars by the Dave and Ann Trick Family Foundation! There’s still time: The deadline for nominations for the Heritage Perth Conservation Award Program is Sunday. If someone you know is deserving of one of these awards, please fill out a nomination form at Perth.ca/Awards or contact tourism@perth.ca.
Take note: The Metal Goods Pick-up scheduled for today in Smiths Falls , will now take place on Saturday, December 30, 2023. Metal goods must be set out by 7:00 a.m. on collection day.

Local Sports: Support our teams!
Well, not just yet. The Christmas Break is underway in the CCHL, meaning we have to wait to see the Smiths Falls Bears and Carleton Place Canadians in action once again. The season resumes January 4th.
Same goes for the EOJHL The Perth Blue Wings, Smiths Falls Jr. Bears, Carleton Place Jr. Canadians, and Athens Aeros are all off for now. Play resumes January 2nd.
Fresh off their 4-2 win over the Leafs on Wednesday, the Ottawa Senators are back on Lake 88 tonight, as they take on the New Jersey Devils at Canadian Tire Centre. Coverage begins on Lake 88 at 6:30, Dean and Gord have the call at 7:00.
