Coming in 2024 is the long-awaited road widening work on County Road 43 in North Grenville.
A stretch of almost two kilometers between County Road 44 and Colonnade Drive will be expanded to four lanes, while the existing two-land bridge will be replaced with a four-lane one.
There will also be four new roundabouts and multi-use pathways on either side.
United Counties of Leeds and Grenville awarded the contract to Ottawa-based R.W. Tomlinson Limited for $38.9 million earlier this month.
North Grenville will spend about $10 million on the project, priced at nearly $51 million in all, with the counties covering the rest.
The project also received over $8 million through Improving Canada’s Infrastructure Project funding.
Work is set to begin in the new year.
