Executive Director Ramsey Hart shared some thoughts on the year that has come and gone at The Table Community Food Centre.
2023 was a difficult time for a lot of people and their organization felt the rising food costs as much as the people they help.
Luckily, he says the continued community support is helping them get through it all without having to compromise their quality of care.
The Table doesn’t just focus on meals of course. In 2023, they played an integral role following the Harvey Street fire to get the victims emergency supplies and shelter, something Hart admires about their work.
Hart thanked the community once again for backing the work The Table does, as his focus for 2024 will largely be around establishing their new Smiths Falls location on Chambers Street.
