The Town of Perth is replacing the roof of its iconic Crystal Palace.
They’re updating the roof with what they’re calling a modern twist which will include a metal upgrade.
The town considered replacing the glass entirely but opted to update just the roof which will also include a fresh coat of paint and overall beautification.
In addition to the roof upgrade, the town’s adding Rockwoll Insulation which they say will lead to better airflow in the summer, the ability to better hold in heat in the winter, and an overall more comfortable space.
The work begins January 15th with the hopes it wraps up in time for the Festival of the Maples in April.
The construction area will be off-limits, but the parking lot and restrooms will remain open.
