Good Morning!
Here’s a look at what’s up for the next 48 hours in our listening area.
The Weather: Snow is coming…. again! Whoever prayed for snow this winter, you’re prayers have been answered. We’re due for another dumping of the white stuff tonight into tomorrow. We could see anywhere between 10-25 cm. Get those shovels ready!
STUFF TO DO
Get your game face on: You’re invited to Friday Night Games in Ontario! Organizers say even if the weather is bad, you can enjoy a night in playing great board games with some cool people. It takes place Friday at 7:30 at 13 Bayview Crescent in Smiths Falls.
Get stylin’: Clearing out your wardrobe to make space for your new Christmas gifts? Check out the Perk’s second annual clothing swap! It runs Saturday Jan 13 from 1-4pm. All sizes, shapes and genders. While not an explicitly queer event (all are welcome) it is trans-organized and a very safe space for queer style + clothing for all genders. It takes place at 2 Wilson St. West, Unit 5 in the Perkins building in Perth.
Have a community meal: St. James Church is hosting a Community Dinner on Saturday at 4:30 at the church, 54 Beckwith St. East, in Perth. They’re serving pasta with Bolognese sauce or Alfredo sauce(vegetarian), Caesar Salad, Garlic Bread and for dessert, Ice cream. A goodwill offering is appreciated.

Local Sports: Support our teams!
Spencer Bowes, an EOJHL Performer of the Month and his Perth Blue Wings host the Carleton Place Jr. Canadians at the Perth Arena tonight at 7:30.
Over in the CCHL, the Carleton Place Canadians play in Brockville at 7:30, and the Robinson Division-leading Smiths Falls Bears host the Renfrew Wolves at 7:30.
And in the NHL, the Ottawa Senators are back on Lake 88 tomorrow when they return home after a less than impressive road trip. Take note of the odd start time: pre-game begins at 3:30, puck drops at 4.
That’s all folks! Let’s do it all again tomorrow.
