The Carleton Place Canadians made four trades ahead of the trade deadline, bolstering up their backend and adding some scoring threats up front.
Owner, General Manager and Head Coach Brent Sullivan reiterated what he’s said all season: the team was built to win this year and he’s doing what he can to give them the best chance.
The Canadians brought in defenceman Seamus Lockhart from Nepean and three players from the Manitoba Junior Hockey League for cash: forwards Blake Boudreau, Kyle Kudrna and defenceman Guerin Apperley.
Sullivan said he wanted to add some size and physicality to the roster.
He adds Boudreau and Kudrna will play in the top six, and Apperley’s 6’5 220 pound frame will bring added toughness and size to the club.
The Canadians are back in action Saturday night against the red hot Renfrew Wolves.
