There will be a Special Ceremony on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Captain A. Roy Brown Branch of the Legion in Carleton Place, to honour Gord Standing, a 102-year-old Second World War Veteran and resident of the town.
The Town of Carleton Place is set to commemorate his legacy by presenting him with a Veteran Banner.
The public is invited to attend the event at the Legion, found at 177 George St. in Carleton Place. It’s an opportunity to thank Gord for his service.
